Hello guys! This is my first time writing a review on gastric sleeve because I JUST DID IT...
My doctor is DR MAYTORENA guys the whole process was the best experience I ever had. 
I am considered low bmi without any comorbidities but I did it for me and I did not want to tell anybody.

I was searching around in CAnada but since I was low bmi there was no way they would have accepted me here. So I looked in mexcico and I found LONGTERM VSG for $2999. The lowest price u would ever see for this type of surgery. I sent my 300 for the deposit and asked a week of from work😅. I flew to San Diego yesterday and got there at 1030 am. As soon as I got there, Annette picked me up, such a sweetheart. We got into the clinic small but very clean and the did all the blood work and urine, everything was perfect. The cardiologist , the doctor the anesthesiologist, in fact the whole team spoke perfect English, so no problem of communication. Once they got the balance my surgery began at 5:30 pm. I was the second patient of doctor maytorena and that was it for the day!

I woke up and to be honest I did not feel any pain AT ALL . Even the gas pain , I did not feel it. I have not use the gasX I brought, maybe I will on the near future I don't know. However Nausea and vomiting were my only issues, but I am guessing it will go away with day going by,! Today we did the leak test and everything was fine only thing is I was nauseous Standing up while they were giving that white liquid to do the ultrasound.

Now I'm stayin at the recovery house PrAdo, the place is NEAT , Even cleaner that a hotel. Room has AC TV WITH CABLE MEDICAL BED EVERYTHING.

I have not eaten for 2 days and a half and I don't feel hungry. I am guessing it's because of the nausea! 

But yeah this was my little contribution for the community. DR MAYTORENA 5 star bariatic surgeon

Best team to work with in Tijuana from the office when you schedule with Ruben, to the doctors (Maytorena), the nursing staff especially at the recovery center and the drivers who pick you up in San Diego and bring you back. You feel like you are with family being taken care of. I have also spoken with them since coming home because I had questions and they responded to me by phone to answer and put me at ease. I recommend Long Term VGS.

I had my surgery on July 20,15 , I had a great doctor in every form and way he really nos what he's doing , he likes to have communication with his patient's and likes to talk and tell you the pro's and con's of the surgery. I'm a Register Nurse , they didn't no so I asked everything I could think about. And all the answers were answer as I had expedite. I want to say thank you Dr Moytorena you are a awesome doctor . And the crew omg they are great the nurse's and everybody. I can't tell you how they make you feel like if your are your own home, it's a very nice place the recovery home . I could not of ask for a better place . Today is August 7,15 . and have lost 27 lbs . I'm so happy , had my USA doctor appoinment yesterday and he said eveything looks excellent, that the surgery was done and looks great . I want to recommend Dr Maytorena . And give them a 100% not a five star but a 100 star's and say thank you very much . Has a great outstanding experience with everybody there ,in Tijuana Mexico LONG TERM VGS!!!

I was sleeved on 5/11/2015 and it was THE BEST day of my life!!!

The warm and reassuring nature of the entire team at Long Term VSG solidified my decision for having chosen them to do my sleeve. The low price of $2999 is still UNBELIEVABLE to me. The high quality care, the immaculate surgical center & Recovery House are worth more than what you pay.

All three doctors speak perfect English and have great bedside manners.

The surgical center, Centro Quirurgico JLP , has 2 operating rooms and at least 25 different types of surgeons are affiliated with them. The surgical center which has been in operation for many years , has recently had a makeover and everything is brand new.

Some of the other team members are Annette the driver, Ruben the patient coordinator , Juan Luis & Ismael the owners ....all of these people TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY !!!!!

In closing, have the surgery done .....FOR YOU , because you matter and you're worth it !!!!!

So hi everyone.  I am truly sorry that I have been slow at giving y'all an update on my surgery, but I had an issue to deal with work and I ended up having to go in for 2 days to get things settled.  Okay so on to my Mexico surgery with Dr. Maytorena.

Ruben was waiting for me when I got to TJ on Wednesday morning, went directly to get my labs and then went straight to the clinic because my surgery was for the same day.  The clinic was small and quaint and I was greeted by nurses smiling and welcoming me.  It was clean with super comfy beds.  While waiting for the cardiologist to come in, I was able to just relax and rest which I actually enjoyed.  Once the cardiologist came in and did his thing (took maybe 10 minutes or so), the Anesthesiologist came in and was very reassuring.  He said that he had done many of these surgeries and was very experienced and that I had nothing to worry about that he was going to take great care of me.  Then shortly thereafter Dr. Maytorenacame in and let me just say that he is probably one of the nicest people that I have ever met.  He told me directly that this surgery was part of the solution but the other part would be determined by what I put into it.  He was realistic and honest.  I appreciated that.  Shortly after I was taken into surgery.  Next thing I know I was back in my recovery area and feeling fine.  I rested for the rest of the evening and night and when I woke up on Thursday, I was up and walking and talking and hanging out with the nurses.  I felt fine.  I had very little pain medication and was given my antibiotics right on time.  My nurses were super awesome and I loved each of the the employees there.  The lady that did the cleaning was just wonderful and every single one of them checked on me regularly.  I had a leak test which was just fine on Thursday and again on Friday before I went home.  I was also given a video of my surgery and not let me forget that my resident doctor was awesome as well.  I was released on Friday and taken back to the border and drove home.  

The surgery center is JL Prado and the owners are Ismael and Juan Luis.  Both of them are so very nice.  They checked in on me every single day more than once and made sure that I was 100% comfortable.  I loved it and there are no short cuts when it comes to care.  The center is small but they are expanding and it is going to be huge.
